flagSEE YOU AT THE POLE - LIVED OUT EVERY DAY!
Every year we hear of hundreds and thousands of Junior High and High School students around the country meeting at their schools’ flagpoles for prayer and intercession. See You at the Pole provides the opportunity for young people to express their faith in God and demonstrate that they believe prayer works!

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Believing this to be true, why then, do so many of us lack the confidence of sharing Christ with others or show that we are children of God by our actions and the words we say? Granted, some of the kids at the poles go because of their friends. But, many are there because of their passion for sharing Jesus with a lost world. They want to hold up their schools and this country we call the United States of America before the Throne of God, knowing that through prayer, there can be revival!

Some of these youth have known the Lord for only a short time, but many have known Him from a very young age. They may have seen their parents on their knees praying with and for their sons and daughters, or Sunday School teachers praying for children in their classes to have a closer, personal relationship with Jesus. They may have seen families in a restaurant giving thanks to God for His incredible blessings, and they may even have heard the whispered prayer of a dying grandparent. We thank God for the Christian youth of this country willing to back their faith with action! Can we do any less?

As we approach the 4th of July, we are reminded of our God-given freedoms that have been handed down from our forefathers. We are also reminded of the importance of praying for our country, its leadership, and its future leaders, our young people. This year, See You at the Pole will be on September 24. (Mark your calendars.) Let’s begin praying now for the potential impact it might have and let’s pray for our youth - that their voices will be heard and their example will be a model to the rest of the world. Let’s pray for revival as we’ve never seen before. Revival begins with believers on their knees, humbled before God, and quickened hearts to go forth to make a difference in this lost, dark world. Let the light of Christ shine brightly! Let His light shine through you!

Prayer is so simple. It is like quietly opening a door and slipping into the very presence of God. There is the stillness to listen to His voice; perhaps to petition, or only to listen. It matters not. Just to be there. In His presence. Is prayer.
