“Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God; men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them, as leaders of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties and of tens.” Exodus 18:21

King of kings and Lord of lords, we ask for Your wisdom that we might elect able people who fear You to fill the high places of responsibility and authority in our land. May they be persons of integrity and truth and hate dishonest gain. Lord, grant us leaders who will honor You with their walk as well as their talk. For those in positions of authority, we ask that they would be in right standing with You; that they would acknowledge You and fear Your name. We ask that if they do not align themselves with Your Word, that You would remove them from their sphere of influence.

Finally, we ask for a hedge of protection for all those already in authority and the candidates (and their families) seeking the highest offices in our great country. We recognize Your sovereignty, Father God, and know that you have not forgotten Your chosen people and all believers who seek Your face; for those that seek forgiveness for the sins of our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 We know true freedom can only come by way of the Cross. So, we praise You, O God, for Your immeasurable grace and for preserving the integrity of this great land we call home, the United States of America. May Your will be done, now and forevermore.
