A Blind Man Prays
Of course, he was a man of prayer. Perhaps at first he prayed that his sight might be restored, but the light never came. Then he prayed for courage, wisdom and strength to face life with this handicap.
Did he ever ask, in Jesus’ name, that this handicap might be lifted? Paul did. Probably Paul was afflicted with partial blindness. We know that he prayed three times that his “thorn in the flesh” might be removed, and after his third prayer, the answer came. “My grace is sufficient for thee.” In the grace and power of God, Paul went on with his ministry to the nations, and from his fertile, consecrated, restless mind came much of our New Testament.
