ISRAEL IS… a land…of which Jehovah said, “is Mine.” Lev. 25:23

TowerOfBabelWhile, the tower of Babel was in process of being built to reach heaven, Jehovah had to use the rod to get His people to obey Him. So, He confused their language and those who could understand one another and spoke the same language gathered together and began to move out of the land of Shinar over the whole earth.

There is a specific Biblical record given of the descendants of Shem, among whom are both Mary, the mother of Jesus or in Hebrew, Yeshua the anointed One (Messiah) and Joseph, Yeshua’s earthly caregiver and protector. However, right now, we want to look more closely at this man Abram, whom Jehovah called out, set apart through whom the world was to be blessed and a nation born.

Abram was one of the sons of Terah who lived in Ur of the Chaldeans or the land between two rivers (Mesopotamia) which is in our modern Iraq. The two rivers are the Euphrates and the Tigris. You can find them on the map.

One day the Lord told Abram to leave this familiar land and country; his relatives and his father’s house and go to a land which Jehovah would show him. It was also promised he would become a great nation.

How does an individual become a nation? Stay with us as we continue our journey.

“Father, reveal Yourself in Your Word to those who seek to know You. Amen.”

Remember to … “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem!” Psalm 122:6
