Life is a great big canvas; throw all the paint on it you can.” Danny Kaye
CCF FELLOWSHIPS
PURPOSE:Prayer, Bible Study, and Fellowship groups, with the intent of inviting unsaved family and friends… a time when women in all seasons of life can break away from daily routine and just be themselves with other women. A time for fun and laughter. A time for growth and learning.
WHY “CCF” FELLOWSHIPS?
There is a positive, affirming quality when women associate themselves to something, such as Coffee Cup Friends. It provides opportunities to connect with each other and with God. Our purpose for CCF is never to glorify ourselves, but Him!
Also, women are so busy taking care of everyone else while overlooking their own care. We all need occasional breaks from daily demands and CCF Fellowships are a great place to unwind and enjoy a sense of retreat (even if it’s for a few hours) with other caring women.

AWESOME “EVERYDAY” TIPS
PHONE SOLICITATIONS: A sure-fire tip for stopping them in their tracks. Of course, you can politely tell them, “Please take us off your list”, but politeness doesn’t usually get you very far anymore. Instead, tell them you have a policy in your home to NOT make any contributions over the phone, not even “a dollar amount to consider” pledge so they can plan their budget. If they would like to mail you something, you’ll “consider” it. This will usually do it, but if they persist, then be firm, “Sorry. No pledges. No contributions over the phone. Please take us off your list and have a good day.” Hang up. (We can’t tell you the number of times organizations have come back and said, “You pledged…” and I can say “No, we didn’t. It’s our policy…”
Use your drip coffee maker to BREW A POT OF TEA. Just prepare as you would coffee but instead of coffee, drop some tea bags into the carafe and let the strings/tags hang over the top, under the lid. When finished, drink as is (hot) or transfer to another heat-resistant container and refrigerate for iced tea later. (Just make sure you fully rinse out the areas where there might be left-over coffee BEFORE you make the tea or you’ll have a strange-tasting beverage.)
HOSTING A WEDDING SHOWER? Ask everyone to bring a can or two of food - without the labels! This happened to me and it was fun to see what we were having for dinner each night. We didn’t have a dog for the can of dog food we got, so we shared it with a neighbor. Every dinner, though, was a wonderful experience and we really had a lot of fun with it.
HOSTING A BABY SHOWER? Ask everyone to bring a child’s picture or story book to get the child’s library off to a good start!
