Satan called a worldwide convention. In his opening address to his evil angels, he said, “We can’t keep the Christians from going to church. We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. However, if they gain that connection of forming an intimate, abiding relationship experience with Jesus, our power over them is broken. So let them go to their churches, let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time so they can’t gain that relationship with Jesus Christ.
This is what I want you to do, angels. Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!”
“How shall we do this?” shouted his angels. “Keep them busy in non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,” he answered. “Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow. Persuade the wives to go to work for really long hours, not out of necessity but to afford more. And convince the husbands to work 6-7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles. Keep them from spending time with their children. As their family fragments, soon their home will offer no escape from the pressures of work or the world!”
“Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that “still small voice”. Entice them to play the radio or CDs with secular music whenever they drive. To keep a constant flurry of noise (the TV, CDs and PCs) going in their homes. And see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly. [Have you ever truly listened to music played in restaurants? It’s usually fast and loud, which causes diners to eat faster, talk faster, and leave quicker to make more room for others. True statement!] This will jam their minds and break that union with not only Christ but a growing, dynamic relationship with their families and friends. Soon they’ll forget what it’s like to sit around their dining room tables to talk, and laugh, and share their days. Pound their minds with the news and invade their driving moments with billboards and traffic jams to encourage irate behavior. Keep their kids involved in many after-school activities and convince their teachers to give so much homework that they forget what it’s like to be a kid. In their homes, fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers. Hopefully, this will bury their Bibles underneath so they can’t find them. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogues, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotionals offering free products, services, and false hopes.

And, increase the clutter in their homes and cars from all the unnecessary items they buy or hold on to. This will bring about disorder and a sense of dis-ease. It will be in these environments that they forego any sense of peace.”
“Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines so the husbands will believe that external beauty is what’s important, and they’ll become dissatisfied with their wives. This will fragment those families quickly and they’ll cause a false sense of hopelessness in young girls that they’re not pretty enough or valued because their not perfect like the models.”
“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have them return from their recreation exhausted, disquieted, and unprepared for the coming week. Don’t let them go out in nature and reflect on God’s wonders. Send them frequently and excessively to amusement parks, sporting events, concerts, and movies instead. Keep them busy, busy, busy!!!”
“And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences and unsettled emotion. Go ahead; let them be involved in soul winning, but crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek the power from Christ. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause. It will work! It will work! It will work!!!”
It was quite a convention. And, the evil angels eagerly went forth to their assignments, causing Christians everywhere to get busy, busy, busy, and to rush here and there. I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his plan? You be the judge! BUSY = Being Under Satan’s Yoke! Revelation 3:15-22

This is an amazingly truthful look at one of the enemy’s best tools used against God’s children. Thank you for the reminder to get honest with my schedule and see what is keeping me from drawing close to the Father’s heart!
